Florence took it easier on us that we expected or were prepared for. Our power flickered a couple times, but thankfully it never went out. We have family that live southeast of Raleigh, NC that did lose power, but have it back now.
It’s been a long few days and we definitely all have cabin fever, but it could have all been so much worse. There are already people who need help. I won’t go telling anyone what charities they should donate to to what groups to volunteer with, but if you can help in any way please do. The coastal cities have been battered. Families have lost their homes. We donated to the diaper bank in Durham, but there are plenty of places that are willing to do some good and need resources.
